Vicki's Story
Life
Hi everyone!
Following high school I graduated with a degree in Business Admin. from Spring Arbor University. I eventually went on to get a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership and then a 2nd Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling in 2005. I have worked in the field of healthcare / neuropsychology, and higher education for many years. In addition to working as a clinical counselor, I was an adjunct faculty member at SAU and taught classes in their Master's In Clinical Counseling Program. I also completed a 2 1/2 year Spiritual Direction program and have served as Chaplain to Pastoral Staff at a large church, as well as provide one-on-one spiritual direction.

the middle of a pandemic) my husband and I moved north to Alpena, Michigan where I began a holistic counseling practice and teach various mind/body/soul practices for overall well-being.
As with most people, my life has had its ups and downs, and bumps in the road for sure. I have learned that while I can't always control life's circumstances, I can choose my attitude in the midst of it all, and that makes a huge difference. One of my favorite quotes from neuropsychiatrist and Auschwitz concentration camp survivor, Viktor Frankl is this: "The last of human freedoms is to choose one's own attitude in any situation."
